Peterson, Blue Dogs want greater cost savings from ‘super committee’

On Wednesday the Blue Dog Coalition released a letter calling on the so-called congressional "super committee" to "go big" and lay out roughly $4 trillion in cuts over the next decade. That's significantly more than the $1.5 billion originally outlined in the deal creating the 12-member panel that's slated to report back in November.
