The DFL gubernatorial contest still appears wide open. Organized labor has failed to unite behind a single candidate. The money chase has also yielded little distance between the candidates.

Democratic gubernatorial candidates R.T. Rybak, Margaret Anderson Kelliher and Paul Thissen and received the backing of the ReNew Minnesota campaign today. The trio of candidates received the most votes from members of TakeAction Minnesota, which is spearheading the organizing effort.

Progressive group aims to end DFL losing streak, pressuring candidates to embrace progressive policies and grass-roots organizing.
