State Rep. Marty Seifert, R-Marshall, the front-running GOP gubernatorial candidate, has selected Anoka County Commissioner Rhonda Sivarajah as his lieutenant governor running mate.

Marty Seifert confirmed this morning a PIM report that state Rep. Laura Brod turned down an overture to be on his short list of possible lieutenant governor candidates. The former Republican House Minority Leader said that Brod is one of roughly 25 people he's contacted to discuss the possibility of filling the number two spot on a gubernatorial ticket.
