
The politics of education policy are unpredictable. That reality was on display at Tuesday's gathering of the Senate's Education Committee.

The Capitol was packed for Governor Pawlenty's final State of the State address.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty vowed to spur job growth and cut government spending in his final State of the State speech. The two-term Republican governor invoked his humble South St. Paul roots and the loss of his dad's job as a truck driver in describing the state's current economic trouble.
