Rybak’s gov campaign raised $138,000 in ‘09

DFL gubernatorial candidate R.T. Rybak raised $138,000 in 2009, his campaign said today.

The two-term Minneapolis mayor finished the year with $25,000 in cash on hand in his gubernatorial account. He received donations from 488 people in 2009.

Rybak started his gubernatorial committee on Nov. 5. He said he’s raised $140,000 since the start of this year.

His mayoral campaign, which is separate from his gubernatorial campaign, raised $389,000 from 2,457 individual donors in 2009.

Rybak is the latest candidate to release fundraising numbers ahead of Monday’s filing deadline.
