Former vice-presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will visit Minnesota in April to stump for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.

“There is absolutely no one more in tune with the hearts and minds of everyday Americans than Gov. Palin, and I’m excited to welcome her back to our beautiful state this spring,” Bachmann said in a statement this morning.

It will be Palin’s first trip to Minnesota since September 2008, when she and Republican presidential candidate John McCain made a campaign stop in Blaine.

Palin is scheduled to campaign with Bachmann, who is running for a third term in the U.S. House, on April 7.

The Minnesota stop is one of three scheduled campaign appearances this spring for the former governor, who also plans to stump for Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who faces a primary challenge from U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, and for McCain in Arizona against conservative radio talk-show host J.D. Hayworth, who continues to hint that he might challenge McCain in a Republican primary.

Perhaps someone should inform the intelligent Miss Bachmann that a “governor” will not be visiting her, but a “quitter” seems to be on her way…

Palin needs to go sell her crazy someplace else… Bachmann has Minnesota all stocked up!
