EMILY’s List endorses Tarryl Clark

Rumors had been swirling on Twitter Tuesday afternoon, but now it’s official: the Washington-based PAC EMILY’s List, which funds women candidates, has endorsed Sen. Tarryl Clark (DFL-St. Cloud) in the race for the 6th District Congressional seat, currently held by Michele Bachmann (R-MN6). Ellen Malcolm, EMILY’s List President, pointed to Clark’s vote-getting ability in “traditionally rough” DFL territory—the 6th is considered the most conservative district in the state—as evidence of her ability to defeat Bachmann. Maureen Reed is also seeking DFL endorsement in the race.
