Franken health care aide: No blogs over the holidays

Today’s news gem in national media was delivered via the Washington Post and includes some great quotes from Lauren Gilchrist, top health care policy aide to Sen. Al Franken.

In a story about the toll the health care bill debate is taking on Senators and staff:

“When the voting is finally over, Gilchrist, 33, plans to fly home to Minnesota and stay for a while. ‘I’m going to cook, hang out with my friends and family, exercise again, read novels and things that are not blogs, and be normal again.’”

Gilchrist also confesses that she hans’t been to the gym since August and she blew through all Halloween candy except for “those really gross candy corns.”

May Gilchrist’s Christmas be white — and blog- and candy corn-free.
