5 p.m. update: It’s going to go quite late tonight, most likely, and tptMN will be carrying coverage live after 6 p.m. Transportation policy omnibus is not meeting tonight, but should reconvene at 9 a.m. in Capitol room 318. All the latest conference reports should be up right here. We heard that the “motor voter” automatic voter registration opt-in will be heard in the Senate tonight. The Senate floor is going to try to hear General Orders, including technology accessibility standards, uniform probate code guardians, social work licensing, “escapee from custody” arrest authorization (SF534), motor vehicle definition, health care technology standards, medical assistance claims and liens, and county offices appointment and consolidation.

It’s thought that things could tumble out of conference committees all day today, and it’s likely to be a late one.

The House floor has omnibus agriculture, veteransand military affairs finance, higher education finance, E-12 education finance, omnibus state government finance and capital investment to consider. Plenty of other items are on the calendar for the day and the supplemental calendar. [Today's DFL House floor plan: Currently, the lights-on bill (SF 2141), then agriculture, capital investment, caucus break, higher education finance, E-12 finance andstate government finance.]

The Senate side also has omnibus energy policy (SF 550) on the list of conference committee reports.

From the House floor, Rep. John Lesch (DFL-St. Paul) tweeted that he "is gearing up for the the game and fish bill, the capital investment bill and the ag and vets bill. Ponds, bonds and batons."

The Legislative Commission on Planning and Fiscal Policy is meeting at some point today.

Conference committees: Taxes omnibus (HF 2323) is meeting in Capitol room 15 30 minutes after the last body adjourns.

Transportation policy omnibus (HF 928) is meeting at 9:30 a.m. in Capitol room 318. Federal stimulus energy funding is meeting in Capitol room 118. Health and human services finance is meeting in Capitol room 123, including the health care access fund and public testimony.

The constitutionally dedicated funding conference committee (HF 1231/SF 1651) is meeting if possible 40 minutes after the last body adjourns today, and will talk about upper Mississippi forest project, ecology and habitat, the comparison report and the philosophy of article 4.

The Joint House/Senate Subcommittee on Claims meets to get a presentation by the I-35W Bridge Special Master Panel.

House side: Taxes is hearing about school district employee health coverage.

Rules and Legislative Administration looked at the revisor’s corrections bill (HF 2380).
