DFL’s advice: Give it up, Norm

The Minnesota DFL party is stepping up its effort to get Al Franken seated on the floor of the U.S. Senate with a newly launched website, GiveItUpNorm.com, and a video asking Republican Norm Coleman to give up his court battle over the 2008 election.

Visitors to the website can join a Facebook group, follow the GiveItUpNorm campaign on Twitter, sign a petition asking Coleman to concede his loss and watch the minute-plus video, which highlights the importance of Minnesota having its full complement of congressional representatives in Washington.

"Minnesotans have been more than patient throughout this long process," DFL chair Brian Melendez said today in a press release announcing the GiveItUpNorm effort. "But that patience is wearing thin.

"Public opinion is not on Norm Coleman’s side. The people want a senator, not more litigation. This website
