Politics in Minnesota is absolutely delighted to announce that Steve Perry is joining our team. While Steve will also be writing for other publications in town, PIM will enjoy exclusivity on his astute thinking and writing when it comes to Minnesota politics.

Many of our subscribers need no introduction to Perry, who has been a
vital part of the Twin Cities journalism scene for years. He was editor
of City Pages, when that paper was last at its best breaking
great stories, providing in-depth coverage of stories other media
missed and attracting huge volumes of traffic to a dynamic web site.
Recently Perry was editor of the Minnesota Independent web site.

Those who think left of your publisher, rejoice. A strong voice on the
other side of the aisle is back at this publication. Although, truth be
told, Perry is no knee-jerk leftie. Rather, he’s a thoughtful
challenger to all pols.

Perry and his wife, Cecily Marcus and their daughter Pearl live in North Minneapolis.

As noted above, we’re in the midst of a rapid and dramatic change in media coverage of Minnesota public affairs. PIM and our sister publication, St. Paul Legal Ledger Capitol Report, with editor Bill Clements, reporters Charley Shaw and Betsy Sundquist
and a terrific roster of freelancers, are here to meet all your public
affairs news needs. And we’re in "full speed ahead" mode to meet the
changing times.
