From The Politico:

"Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass) said last week that Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) is likely
gay. The Idaho Republican, who has emphatically denied he is gay or bisexual,
has fended off rumors of his homosexuality repeatedly during his three decades
in politics, most recently denying allegations he solicited gay sex in a
Minnesota airport restroom this summer.

Frank, one of only two openly
gay members of Congress, said he had reached his conclusion about Craig from
news reports. In particular, he cited a report in the Idaho Statesman that Craig
had engaged in oral sex with another man in a Union Station bathroom, probably
in 2004.

Frank, who served with Craig in the House from 1981 to 1991
before Craig was elected to the Senate, said he believed Craig’s arrest was
unfair.

‘I don’t think he should have been arrested, but it’s more
likely than not that he was interested in sex,’ Frank said. Asked if he
believed Craig was gay, Frank replied: ‘More likely than not.’

Frank
was in his fourth House term when he came out in 1987, and he has had his own
share of gay sex controversies. Still, he had no sympathy for Craig.
