From what I heard, almost all 2000 signatures were an "X" since most can't read or write...

The group is not anti stadium per say but anti stadium tax. Personally I would love to see the stadium built in Arden hills however I don't want to be part of the minority that has to pay for it. What happened to a stadium for all Minnesotans shouldn't those costs be shared?
In 1998 Red McCombs bought the Vikings for $250 million dollars. After making zero capital improvements to the team he sold them in 2005 for $600 million dollars to Zygi Wilf. Now Wilf made a horrible business decision on the verge of a major financial collapse, that was his choice. Using public money for a stadium would amount to nothing more than a bailout to Wilf and the Vikings. Without a new stadium he can never sell the team without taking a major financial hit. He will not stop from trying to get a new stadium until he has one. This is why I signed the petition in Ramsey county to put a stadium tax on a referendum.
