By the numbers: Senjem’s Senate takeover boast

It seemed noteworthy when Senate Minority Leader Dave Senjem took to the podium at yesterday's Michele Bachmann/Sarah Palin rally and made this vow about the fall elections: "For the first time in 38 years, we're gonna control the Senate!" The GOP would need a 13-seat swing to take charge of the Senate, and a 21-seat turnaround in the House. How does that compare to the Legislature's biggest partisan swings of the last 40 years?
