100% urban. The district includes working-class neighborhoods with increasing elderly, African-American and Asian populations. Recent revitalization and low prices make the area attractive to first-time home buyers. About 95 percent of the houses in the district were built before 1975. Many charming bungalows in Webber-Camden date from 1910-1930. A new revitalization project called the Humboldt Greenway made a greenway of Humboldt Avenue from 46th to 53rd avenues north. Greenways going east to the Mississippi River are also part of the project, as is a senior housing development. Jordan, which has twice Minneapolis' average poverty rate, continues to receive media scrutiny for crime. Many public employees live here. Politically, the district is DFL dominated and labor-oriented.
